SYNOPSIS - THE APARTMENT BLOCK

The apartment block homes ladies from various walks of life in comforting and tranquil surroundings. People move here for its sanctuary, or to move away from problems or disturbances which may have affected them in mainstream life. Indeed, many came to live here as young adults, but have become institutionalised by the goings on in the building. Typically, you only enter the block if you are invited by a resident. Even the residents dispose of their own waste to avoid council workers spying on their lives.

There are no busy towns near by or cities, night clubs or suburban areas, to get to these places it is 15 minute drive. But, The Apartment Block offers very little need to venture out other than to go to work. In the basement, the residents can enjoy the bar (The Whip and Pussy), to the back of the building there is a well stocked convenience store (Kelly’s Store) sand a hair dressers and beauty parlour (Deb’s), there is also a gymnasium in a large garage at the back. The building is Victorian in style with steeples and arch style windows. It is part brick and part sand stone, with grey slate roof; it has some large steps which lead to the main entrance door where you need to enter a code into the keypad to gain access.

The block contains 15 apartments on three floors, five on each level. If the stairs trouble you from a hard days work you can use the lift which is situated immediately in front of the main doors in the lobby. The gardens are very well maintained with willow trees offering shade from the sun. The large car park in front of the building offers ample space for cars.

No resident knows who owns the building; there is no manager the rent is taken from their bank accounts every month without fail, everyone pays as most people who enter never want to leave. It is only occasionally that a resident will leave which is normally down to extreme circumstances, such as expulsion from the other residents, bringing in a person whom is not trusted or even death. Men are only allowed in under the most of extreme circumstances and primarily for disciplinary circumstances. For a man to gain access a hearing must be voiced in the bar by all the other residents - all residents must favour the entrance.

The apartments cater for the residents every need, large living areas, kitchens with diners; some on the top floor have their own dining rooms. Bathrooms containing, showers WC’s, and bidets. Each apartment has two bedrooms, which most of the residents have placed king sized beds in.

The lives and careers of the residents are varied and their backgrounds diverse. Many do not realise how they managed to become a resident, normally they are told to go there by outside agencies. Or have heard of the block and have placed their names on a waiting list, these people however wait for a long time and some never get to enter. The residents are unaware of a selection process; many are bewildered to how they got here in the first place all are grateful.

New residents have an induction by the other residents in the bar all must meet at 7.30 pm, however the new residents tend to be unaware of this until they are called. Punishment to new residents is generally carried out in public as part of their induction, to see how they will respond to their surroundings, and to determine their place in the community.

The Apartment Block allows the residents to fend for themselves and be who they are with no interference from mainstream life, although most have town jobs and are successful. They explore there inner selves, and participate in behaviours which meet their needs. The residents consist of dommes, disciplinarians, school girls (over 19), a nurse, a law enforcement officer, subs, switches, business executives, criminals, a headmistress, all who serve their particular place in the community to ensure their self made rules are not broken and chastisement remain a deterrent to all.

Punishment and discipline are the main factors of being here. No one is exempt, even the most senior can not be ruled out of discipline if a hearing sees that they should be disciplined. The punishment can be administered by a person whose name is literally pulled out of a hat if an agreement can not be made. On occasions the residents may show sympathy and allow the person who is to be punished to choose who they would prefer to be punished by, but if the residents believe that that person is unable to deliver a satisfactory chastisement, they may elect someone to join in.

Stocks spankings tend to start in the morning at 6 am, the resident to be punished is escorted to the stocks stripped naked, and has to stay there till 9 pm that night. Various spanking implements are set on a table by the stocks and any resident can issue a spanking with any implement they choose, should they feel the offence is deserved. When taken from the stocks the punished bottom, can be cared for by the nurse in her apartment, unless of course it is the nurse who has received the punishment, and no further punishment can be administered to that bottom by any resident for 3 days after, or without the nurses say so. Failure to obey this rule would see the punisher go to the stocks themselves.
